A Presentation By Sea Zeda:
“גָּלָה (gā·lāh: meaning to uncover, to reveal) is a collection of hand embroidered garments and a performance piece that reflect on personal experiences of coming to terms with brokenness through the lens of spiritual tradition. The work is symbolic of processes of surrender, regeneration and reconciliation. Donning of sackcloth, a custom of mourning by the Israelites is reinterpreted in this work and is considered in tangible expressions divulging the pain, the secrets, the suffering of our innermost being.”
